New CEO for Aegis Media South Africa & Aegis Media Sub-Saharan Africa

Few companies are able to speak confidently about growth during the recession, but Aegis Media South Africa & Sub-Saharan Africa can. Aegis Media, who owns leading global media brands such as Carat, Vizeum, Posterscope and isobar has seen excellent growth in the sub-Saharan region over the last 2 years. New prestigious accounts were won such as Johnson&Johnson, Old Mutual, Nokia, MWeb and CellC as well as new operations launched in 9 countries of the SSA region (such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya).

Andreas Weiss, who has spearheaded Aegis Media’s growth as CEO in the region for the last two years has been promoted within the Aegis Media network and will return to Europe taking on a leading position within the Aegis Media network in Central Europe. Dawn Rowlands who has been with Aegis Media South Africa for many years will assume the role as CEO of South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa from February 2010 onwards. This appointment will be overseeing Aegis Media business growth in the whole region.

Dawn Rowlands has over 20 years of experience in the media industry and has most notably been a shareholder of both NotaBene and a the founder of Posterscope SA, which manages 35% of all Out of Home buying in SA currently.
